A balalaika from Russia, a bouzouki from Greece, a psaltery from the 12 th century; these are a few of the instruments the children will hear and learn about. With rhythm instruments to play, the children will travel around the world with folk music.

Continue the journey with a didgeridoo from Australia, a shruti box from India, an ocarina from Peru, tin whistles from Ireland, and an old-fashioned harmonium from England. Children will learn simple, authentic songs from different countries, and play rhythm instruments to fill out the sound.
• Songs and Stories of Ireland
How many leaves are on a shamrock? What language do 4% of the Irish people speak as their first language? How does the Irish giant escape from the Scottish giant? What's the difference between a reel and a jig? All will be made clear after this fun and educational romp from New Orleans' most experienced Irish musician.
• American Heroes
Some are tall-tale icons (Pecos Bill and Slew-Foot Sue), some are real people (Harriet Tubman) and some are that magical combination of both (John Henry and Johnny Appleseed). Men and women, black and white and all shades in-between, explore the lives of these classic American heroes through story and song.
